Editorial policy
This policy explains who writes the information on this website, which sources it relies on, how medical review works and how to report a mistake.

Who writes our pages
Our pages are written by the Bilgehan Clinic editorial team, using the authoritative sources cited on each page. English is the original version, and other language versions are adapted from it.
Drafting may be supported by digital writing tools, including AI-assisted drafting. Responsibility for what we publish stays with us.
Medical review
Medical review of our content is the task of Op. Dr. Bilgehan İlker, specialist in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. Each medical page shows its review status. Until she has reviewed a page, the page says that her review is in progress, and we do not describe it as reviewed by her.
Sources
We base medical information on authoritative sources: professional bodies such as the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, public health services such as the NHS, academic medical centres such as Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic, regulators such as the US Food and Drug Administration, and peer-reviewed research.
- Each page lists its sources at the end.
- Figures such as recovery times are given as typical ranges taken from these sources, not as promises.
- Citing an organisation does not mean that it endorses us or this website.
What we do not publish
- Sponsored content. No content on this website is sponsored or paid for by a third party.
- Patient testimonials. Our medical pages and guides contain no testimonials, patient stories or quotes. Reviews written by patients are on independent platforms, which we link to from our patients page.
- Prices. We do not publish prices. After an assessment, you receive a personal plan.
- Promises and pressure. We do not promise results, and we do not use countdowns, limited-time offers or similar pressure.
- Brand promotion. Page titles use generic names for treatments, medicines and devices. A brand name may appear in the text where it helps you recognise a treatment; this is not an endorsement.
Images
Images that illustrate our pages may be created or edited with digital tools, including AI image tools. They do not show our patients or the results of treatment. Before-and-after photos of real patients are published only with the patient's written consent and are labelled as such.
Updates and corrections
Each page shows the date it was last updated. When guidance changes or an error is reported to us, we correct the page and update the date.
To report an error, suggest a better source or ask about our content, write to our editorial contact, Op. Dr. Bilgehan İlker, through our contact page or at [e-mail address to be added]. You can also call or message us on +90 542 280 27 51.
